Jeff Mayerson
Coach Jeff has been coaching basketball for 15 years. He is a certified NBA Clinician as well as a USA Basketball certified Coach. Jeff Founded Wolves Basketball Academy in 2013 with his two boys (Brett and Adam) and amazing wife Karen. Jeff Mayerson has held numerous positions in sales as well as senior sales management in the legal service/technology industry. Jeff has two boys, Brett and Adam, and has been married to his wife Karen for 25 years. They all love their adorable dog Cookie.
Beth Elkis
Beth is an Executive Creative Director of Life Sciences at Accenture where she brings design, marketing and communications solutions to pharmaceutical, health, and wellness companies. A 25+ year veteran of the industry, she has launched over 50 brands across a wide variety of therapeutic areas.
Beth studied graphic design, marketing, and communications at Rutgers University and the School of Visual Arts in New York City. A past president of The Art Director’s Club of New Jersey (including a seat on its Board of Trustees for more than 6 years), she currently sits on the Graphic Design Advisory Committee for County College of Morris.
Beth’s son has personally benefitted from years spent participating in The Wolves Basketball Academy. The motivating coaches, wonderful peer support and encouraging and supportive atmosphere have enabled him to build his skills as well as his confidence.
Beth lives in Chatham, NJ with her husband, Tony, a corporate telecom business director (opposites attract!) and their son Zach. On weekends, you can find Beth either driving her son to one of his many ‘Zach’tivities, or on the sidelines cheering him on. In her spare time, Beth is an avid Pez collector, jewelry designer, and accessory junkie.
Michael Freeman
Coach Michael has been coaching basketball for 15 years, and he is a certified NBA Clinician as well as a USA Basketball certified Coach. Michael continues to play basketball and loves to coach children of all skills and abilities. When not coaching, Michael has practiced as an at
Attorney in New Jersey and New York for more than 26 years. Michael’s family (Lisa, Rachel and Adam) have all helped with the Wolves Basketball Academy and look forward to each clinic.
Michael Mandelbaum
Michael is a partner in Mandelbaum & Mandelbaum, a family-owned legal and real estate firm based in West Orange, NJ.
Michael graduated from Princeton University in Princeton NJ Phi Beta Kappa, and Harvard Law School in Cambridge, MA Cum Laude. He is a member of the New Jersey and New York bars. Michael works with his father, David Mandelbaum and his three brothers Richard, Jeffrey and Jonathan Mandelbaum.
Michael is presently on the Board of Trustees at Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles, CA. He was previously on the Board of Gill St. Bernards School, Gladstone, NJ, where he was the Chairman of the Buildings and Grounds Committee and recently was honored with The Lindabury-Thomas Trustee Award.
Michael is a member of Temple Beth-El in Somerville, NJ.
Laurie Ravetz
Following graduation from Emory University and a career in sales management and human resources, Laurie Ravetz raised 3 children-Sam, Gabriel and Lindsay. All three children played basketball making Laurie a devoted basketball fan. From 2016 to 2022, Laurie founded and managed Teen Impact Project, a non-profit that worked with teens to service their communities. Currently, Laurie works as a board member for the NYC-Parents in Action, a non-profit organization that provides education, information and a communication network to inform parents about social and developmental issues to help them communicate openly, effectively and consistently with their children.

Peter Eisen is a Practical Compliance Manager at MarketCounsel since 2017. MarketCounsel is the leading business and regulatory consultancy to the country’s preeminent independent investment advisers. Peter consults investment advisers on the creation, maintenance and testing of their compliance programs. Peter also creates and distributes training on specific compliance topics with an emphasis on regulatory compliance. Prior to 2017, Peter spent 27 years as a compliance officer at Prudential. Peter’s final position was as a Director of Compliance for Prudential’s fixed income investment adviser. Originally from Livingston, NJ, Peter currently lives in Elmwood Park, NJ with his wife Laura and daughter Alora. Peter has been a dedicated volunteer coach for Wolves for 5 years.
